Pain Awareness Month

August is Pain Awareness Month! In light of bringing recognition to pain awareness, SWT is highlighting 5 key benefits of our Hot and Cold Therapy products and how our unique Elasto-Gel technology is unlike anything else on the market.

Moist Heat

Most therapy packs utilize hydrogels for their heating and cooling properties. However, Elasto-Gel is the only one that employs the added benefits of a glycerin base. By adding glycerin to our hydrogel, it allows for a moist heating sensation when applied to areas of pain (unlike a heating pad or rice bag).

Stretch Material and Straps

All of our therapy products are covered in a stretchy material that allows for increased conformity to the body when applied so it does not reduce movement. Additionally, our therapy products for specific body parts include an attached strap that increases mobility by allowing free movement of the user.

COVID Stops Here

Southwest Technologies, Inc in North Kansas City has been recognized as a Silver COVID Stops Here workplace for achieving a 80% vaccination rate.

The COVID Stops Here campaign recognizes Missouri workplaces that have achieved widespread vaccination against COVID-19. Organizations that have achieved at least a 70% vaccination rate are eligible to receive a designation.

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry developed the COVID Stops Here campaign as a way to celebrate workplaces that are leading the fight to stop COVID-19 — and to encourage more organizations to join their ranks.

“The COVID-19 vaccine is Missouri’s pathway to recovery. Southwest Technologies, Inc is helping set the bar for vaccination in Missouri by achieving Silver COVID Stops Here status — meaning at least 80% of their employees are now vaccinated against COVID-19. This is a great achievement and we thank them for helping our state stop this dangerous virus.”

It is critical that Missourians work together to stop the spread of coronavirus — including the dangerous new Delta variant.
